| Bio: | Welcome to the journal of writer Catherine Schaff-Stump. This journal chronicles my work as a writer, from musing to drafting and submissions. This journal exists mostly to keep me honest and writing.
By day I am an English teacher and the coordinator of an English Language Acquisition program at Kirkwood Community College. By night I specialize in the world you can see just out of the corner of your eye. Late at night. Or early, when you haven't had enough coffee.
In May, 2008, reading a scene from Gossamer and Viridian at
Coming out in August of 2008 from Drollerie Press: Sister Night, Sister Moon, a novella about a love triangle between a man, a woman, and a couple of muses.
Coming out in September of 2009 from Cats Curious Press: Hulk Hercules: Professional Wrestler, the first of the MYTHtery Kids books, in which three kids find out what Hercules is currently up to.
I'm currently circulating The Substance of Shadows, a young adult book about a family of demon binders, fitting well with the full service gothic feel of many of today's young adult novels, to agents, hoping I can get a nibble. There's a short story about junior vampire killers out there as well.
