Welcome to the journal of writer Catherine Schaff-Stump. This journal chronicles my work as a writer, from musing to drafting and submissions. This journal exists mostly to keep me honest and writing.

By day I am an English teacher and the coordinator of an English Language Acquisition program at Kirkwood Community College. By night I specialize in the world you can see just out of the corner of your eye. Late at night. Or early, when you haven't had enough coffee.

The Turtle of the Earth in Cucurbital 2 from Paper Golem Press

Crystal Vision in Swill #5. I don't like Grandma too much. She came from nowhere during the Evil Overlord challenge at VP.

Hulk Hercules: Professional Wrestler from Cats Curious Press

Two Vampires and a Panel Discussion, available in Drops of Crimson , April 9, 2009.

The Initiation Rites and Incantations of the Vampire Killers Junior Auxiliary, available in Drops of Crimson, October 31, 2008.

Out of Print:

The Love Song of Oliver Toddle in The Absent Willow Review: If you need poetry, a house gnome, and a garage, I've got you covered.

Sister Night, Sister Moon in Drollerie Press: a novella about a love triangle between a man, a woman, and a couple of muses.

Yellow Cat and the Man in Indelible Companions from Friends of the Animal Center Foundation , 2008.

Currently working on several books about demon binders, another project about an elementary school teacher and a pack of wild dogs, and a middle-grade book about junior high vampire killers.

I look forward to friending you and hearing from you!
